A Day’s Life.

“I wake up. Not because I want to, but I need to.
You wake me up. Not because you need to, but because you want to.
For who and what for, you do not question. All you know is it is important to me.
Before the sun even notices my presence, I am ready with you.
Our relationship hasn’t always started and ended the same way, but no matter the hardship you have never left me.
Some have felt longer than others, just like some have been filled with more happiness.
I admit, I never took notice of you like how I do now.
I never knew that you would have such a beautiful impact on my life.
You’ve worked hard on trying to truly open my eyes, to see the beauty you indeed are.
Before the end nears I will remember to cherish you.
I will cherish the memories we had in such little time; the lessons you’ve taught and the life you’ve shown me.
Like a blink of an eye, you return.
You remind me of a phoenix.
Such grace and magic, only to decay in a short time, always to reborn with a fresh start.”
